Getting started with Comparative Reports
Step 2 – Find the report to run and click on the Compare Networks link beside the report.
Step 3 – Once the report opens, choose the “Select Networks” button in the Filter by section.
The Select Networks popup screen shows. At the top it lists the Networks that you have selected. This list will be updated as you select and deselect networks. RCAs can only be selected if they have run an import for the year.
Step 4 – Use the four options on the left to locate and select any combinations of RCAs, Waka Kotahi sub-networks, Regions, Peer Groups, and the National network:
- Search for an RCA. This lists all the RCAs. Click the RCAs to add them to the selected networks list. Any RCA that has not yet imported their data for the year will have an ! beside their name. These will not be able to be selected.
- Waka Kotahi. Choose the combinatons of Corridor , Regional Council, District Council and NOC that make up the Waka Kotahi sub-networks you want to see.
- Regions. Click the checkboxes for the regions you want to select. Or click the 'Add all RCAs to Selection' button beside the region, to select the RCAs in the region. You can also choose the National network in this list.
- Peer Groups. Click the checkboxes for the Peer Group s you want to select. Or click the 'Add all RCAs to Selection' button beside the Peer Group , to select the RCAs in the peer group.
Step 5 – Click the “Regions” option to select Region networks, and to select the RCAs in the regions.
- Click the checkbox by the Region to select the Region.
- Click the 'Add all RCAs to Selection' button beside the Region to select the RCAs in the region.
Step 6 – Click the “Peer Groups” option to select the Peer Group networks, and to select the RCAs in the Peer Groups.
- Click the checkbox by the Peer Group to select the Peer Group.
- Click the 'Add all RCAs to Selection' button beside the Peer Group to select all the RCAs in the Peer Group.
Step 7 – Click the “Waka Kotahi” option to select Waka Kotahi subnetworks.
Step 8 – Select relevant drop downs to filter by any combination of Corridor, Region, District and Network Outcomes Contract. Once a filter combination has been selected, click on “+ Add Selection” to add the the network to the list of selected networks.
Note: the Waka Kotahi drop-downs will only contain options if Waka Kotahi has imported its data from RAMM for the Financial Year into Transport Insights. If the drop-downs are empty except for All, you will need to wait until the Waka Kotahi import from RAMM is loaded for the year.
Filtering by Network Outcomes Contract (NOC)
Selects the subnetworks that are covered by Waka Kotahi Network Outcomes Contracts.
Filtering by District Council
Selects the Waka Kotahi network within a District Council area (some being cities).
Filtering by Regional Council
Selects the Waka Kotahi network within a Regional council.
Corridor
Corridor is a tool for managing the asset across a journey from origin to end destination.
