The Basics

Navigation

Within Transport Insights, you can select a range of menu options for a network and a year. The network/s and years available to you show in the Transport header bar at the top of the screen. The networks may be RCAs, regions, peer groups, and/or National.

Navigate your way around Transport Insights using the main Menu items on the menu bar at the left. Click the menu group (ONRC, Data Quality, etc) to see the items available under that group.

“ONRC > Reports” navigates to the list of available Performance Measures reports.

“Data Quality > Dashboard” navigates to the Data Quality dashboard.

“Help & Support > Help” navigates to a menu of Help items such as this one.

To find an ONRC Performance Measure report, select the ‘ONRC > Reports’ menu item and click through the performance measure categories to see the list of reports in each category.

Running Performance Measure reports

To view a report, click on its Title.
Each report is displayed in two ways – as graphs and as tables of data.
You can adjust report parameters and click "Refresh View".
Hover over the ? icon to get more information about the data presented.
Hover over the ! icon to be cautioned about the information about the data presented.

Some reports show comparisons with your Peer Group , Region and the Nation .

Trends in graphs

Some reports plot linear trends over several years. The trends show as straight lines above the bar graphs, as in the example below:

• A green line indicates the trend is improving
• A red line indicates the trend is deteriorating
• A black line indicates the trend is neutral

Comparative Reporting

For those reports that allow comparative reporting with other RCAs, regions etc, click ‘Compare Networks’ to run the comparative report. You can choose which combinations of RCAs, Regions, Peer Groups, State Highways, and National network, to compare on the report.

Input Measure Reports

If there is no data entered for the Financial Year for an Input Measure report, the report will show with an ! and a message that the data needs to be input.

Reports for group networks (Regions, Peer Groups, National)

For some performance measures, you can see the results for a group network (a Region, a Peer Group, or National), as well as for an RCA.
