Accessing Competency Assessment

Competency Assessment self-assessment

The Competency Assessment self-assessments are available in the Transport Insights menu under Competency Assessment.

Registering a login for the Competency Assessment 

Everyone needs to have a login to get access to the Competency Assessment because we are storing personal information about each person.

1. If you already have a login provided to you from a Road Controlling Authority (RCA) , you can login to Transport Insights and go directly to the Competency Assessment pages.

2. If you do not have a login from your RCA and think you should have one, please contact an existing Transport Insights user in your RCA and they can assist in getting you an RCA login.

3. Otherwise you need to self register for the Competency Assessment. To self register:

3.1. Click on the Competency Assessment menu item in Transport Insights. A login page will open.

3.2. Click "Register here" where it says:  "Don't have an Competency Assessment login?".

3.3. Enter your email address and click on "Send verification code". Transport Insights will send an email to the email address you entered. Leave this page open while you check your email inbox.

3.4 Find the new message from Transport Insights in your email inbox. The email will contain a verification code. If the email does not arrive, check your Spam folder as well.

3.5 Enter the verification code into the Transport Insights page and click "Verify Code". If you leave it too long to verify the code, it may expire and you will need to send another code to your email.

3.6. Once the code is verified, enter your given name, surname, and new password, and click "Continue".

3.7 You are now registered for the Competency Assessment and can continue to fill in the Profile. Please remember the email and password so you can log into the Competency Assessment pages in future.

Competency Assessment Profile

The first time you go to the Competency Assessment, you will need to fill in some profile information about yourself. This information is specifically for the Asset Management Competency Framework & the Procurement Competency Framework surveys and will be used in future for summarised sector reporting.

• See the Privacy statement within the Competency Assessment page for more details on what the profile information will be used for.
• You must fill in your profile information before you can move to the survey(s).
• You can update your profile information whenever you want.

Once you have filled in your profile information, a Survey option will show at the top of the page. Click this to start filling in the self-assessment.
