Descriptions of the Measures

Cost Efficiency 1 - Pavement Rehabilitation (Length & Area)

The sealed pavement rehabilitation undertaken over the selected year range by classification.

The aim of this measure is to show the total length and area of sealed road pavement rehabilitation undertaken over the selected year by classification, for your network. The comparative graph shows the percentage, by area of network, of pavement rehabilitation renewed over the selected year by your network, Peer Group , Region and the Nation .

Pavement rehabilitation length and area are identified from Membrane Seal or First Coat surfaces with a Work Category of 214. Surface records will be assigned a Work Category of 214 when the resurfacing is due to pavement rehabilitation. Reseal and second coat surfaces are excluded to avoid double-counting the surface length and area if the pavement rehabilitation is resealed at a later date.

The surface data comes from the Road Section Surface table.

The Lane Kilometres are assumed to be the length of the surface rehabilitiated times number of lanes from the road section.

The area is calculated from the Sealed Area for the surface data recorded as pavement rehabilitation (WC 214). The Sealed Area may or may not reflect the Width or Length of the {Road Section}.

The Percentage by Area total is calculated by summing the One Network Road Classification (ONRC) , then given as a percentage of the total area. The classifications come from the Road Section table and ONRC Category table. The data is grouped by Financial Year beginning 1 July.
